Most of it was burned in the furnace as PSA exhaust gas, while a small portion of the carbon dioxide was dissolved in water and removed
The carbon monoxide that is burned in the furnace still turns into carbon dioxide and is released through the chimney.
There are also decarbonization processes for recovering carbon dioxide, using phenol solutions for this purpose
