Hydrogen production via water electrolysis/chlor-alkali process: raw materials – water or concentrated brine; high-power DC power supply ； Equipment, electrolyzer ； 1. The product hydrogen has a high purity. 2. Hydrogen production via water-gas method: raw materials are water and coal; equipment includes a gasifier and a shift reactor ； The product must be purified to remove trace amounts of sulfur as well as carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. 3. In the petrochemical industry, reformation is used; the raw materials include naphtha, catalysts, and equipment such as reformation reactors and compressors. The product also needs to be purified to eliminate small amounts of hydrocarbons and chlorides. 4. Hydrogen production via natural gas/methanol pyrolysis is similar to hydrogen production through water-gas reforming; the product can be purified more easily, but the cost is higher than that of gasification
