What is the general process for a single-compressor trial run?
Apart from the possible difference in process media, everything else is basically under normal operating conditions
Reciprocating compressors are simpler; basically, it can be summarized as follows: 1. Prepare for inspection work; Including the unit itself, safety accessories, mechanical and electrical interlocks, and the commissioning of utility systems; 2. Commissioning of auxiliary systems ; 3. Install a water cooling system, an lubricating oil system, and an oil injection system; introduce nitrogen for isolation of the intermediate tank, and provide positive pressure ventilation for the motors. 4. Start the machine at zero load, then gradually increase the load to 100%. 5. Tune up all alarms and interlocks. 6. Once everything is working properly, reduce the load and shut down the machine to conclude the testing phase.
Whether it is a blower, a centrifugal compressor, or a reciprocating compressor, before conducting individual tests, the first steps involve testing the lubrication oil system, the circulating water system, and the nitrogen sealing mechanism; testing mechanical seals or nitrogen seals; testing various load control valves; testing the return valves; testing the inlet control valves; testing the crankshaft turning device; cleaning and testing the motors; testing the emergency stop systems; conducting individual tests on the motors. It is also necessary to ensure that the interior of the compressor has been properly passivated or cleaned, that the pipes have been thoroughly cleaned and purged, and finally that the system is airtight, after which it can be tested by filling it with nitrogen.
