Control of hydrogen content in the feed gas for dry gas hydrogen production

As the title suggests, are there any requirements regarding the hydrogen content in the feedstock used for dry gas hydrogen production? A large proportion of the hydrogen-containing materials used in hydrogen production are hydrogen-rich gases such as hydrogenated light fractions; the hydrogen content is nearly 50% in these materials, and it ranges between 30-40% after passing through the hydrogenation reactor. What impact does such a high hydrogen content have on the hydrogen production facilities? Is there a possibility that it could cause the reduction of the hydrogenation catalyst or significantly affect its lifespan?
There should be no impact; the presence of sulfur is sufficient, and there will be no loss of sulfur
As long as there is sulfur, it should have no effect on the hydrogenation catalyst. However, it has a certain impact on the conversion catalyst; if the processing volume is not large enough, localized overheating of the converter catalyst occurs, resulting in large areas of bright spots on the conversion furnace tubes.
Thank you all. I’ve contacted the catalyst manufacturer; generally, there is no control over the hydrogen content, but sulfur suppression is required to prevent hydroreduction of the catalyst
