We all know that in a preheating and recovery system, the shutdown of the blower triggers the shutdown of the exhaust fan as a means of protecting the equipment. But what if the exhaust fan is stopped while the blower remains running – can the exhaust fan still operate in that situation?
Bypass resection – sure, it can be done, but the problem lies with your furnace
Switching to the bypass means disabling the interlock; the exhaust fan can be turned on, but the air preheater will only receive hot flue gas, which will affect its lifespan.
