I just started using the device, and every time I begin working with it, I have different experiences. I’d like to share what I’ve learned this time: 1. Before starting work, I was busy coordinating with the construction workers, and paid less attention to process control and construction quality; as a result, I paid more attention to construction quality later on, which required more effort. 2. Even if one is not responsible for electrical instruments, it is still necessary to pay attention to them to prevent delays in their operation later on. For example, the drawings for electrical instruments differed from the technical drawings: one showed an opening size of 40, while the other showed 25. It was because of these two numbers that we spent several days working hard. 3. Do not assume anything; especially with newly installed equipment, its associated pipelines and related instruments need to be checked. For example, if a pressure gauge is added in a certain area, it may turn out during installation that there is only one manual valve at the high-pressure section, which results in a clearly insufficient level of safety. But there are no valves anymore. 4. Especially when it comes to reusing existing items, it’s essential to do so; because by the time you’ve cleaned up the site to a certain extent, you’ll find that many of the valves and items that could be reused are no longer there, and that’s when you’ll be in trouble. 5. During the startup process, inspections such as furnace ignition, temperature rise, airtightness testing, and gas replacement require that exact times be taken into account – determining at what time the temperature should be raised to what level – as well as ensuring an appropriate allocation of personnel both from one’s own team and those working on the project. The guarantor won’t get exhausted and can still complete the work step by step. Everything is interconnected. Perfection is not required; progress and quality are. 6. If you encounter any problems, be sure to report them. What you can’t solve may not be unsolvable for someone else. For example, there was a very old version of a window that couldn’t be opened by the person in charge, but it could be opened by another person who handled external operations. Leverage everyone’s strengths. 7. Verification of the valves, especially those for circulating water: I was sure there was no problem with them, but still the valve plates fell off, so modifications were necessary.
