As the title suggests, I’m asking about the heat exchange area of the conversion gas steam generator used in a 20,000 Nm³/h hydrogen production plant. The one at my facility has a surface area of 170 m²; however, its service life is extremely short—within just three years, corrosion and leaks occur at the low-temperature end, or weld cracks develop. Now, questions are being asked regarding the scale of hydrogen production units at various companies, as well as the area of the conversion gas steam generators; additionally, information on the service life and condition of these equipment is sought. It has been in use for 15 years, and it has been inspected several times with no issues found. The ceramic tube at the inlet has been replaced twice.
We also have coking hydrogen production of 20,000 Nm3/h. The steam generator is located in Fushun, Liaoning, with a heat exchange area of 150㎡. The service life could not be found. We’ve already broken down once
