The medium-temperature catalyst is likely at the end of its useful life. What indicators can be used to determine that it has reached that stage? After all, it’s not possible to rely solely on experience. I earnestly ask experts to kindly offer their guidance.
How can you ask me for specific data? Don’t you check the activity when putting it into use? Don’t check the temperature?
The temperature rise decreases significantly, while the outlet CO level increases markedly.
Inlet temperature and outlet gas composition
The carbon monoxide content at the intermediate outlet is significantly higher than at the initial stage; the inlet temperature increases, and the pressure difference rises, etc
Pay close attention to whether the inlet temperature of the medium converter increases during the initial stages of operation as well as under the current operating conditions, and whether there is an upward trend in the CO content in the gas coming from the medium converter. If the CO content in the gas from the medium converter does not show a downward trend despite temperature compensation, it is possible that the catalyst in the medium converter has become inactive.
It’s probably time; I’ve been using it for ten years now. It’s a bit charred.
