1.1 Confirmation of the operation of the purified air system: Verify that the flow in the purified air system is unobstructed; close all branch valves. Ensure that the instruments are properly installed. Contact the instrumentation team to activate the instruments related to the purified air supply: FIQ51102, PT51102. Request the dispatch team to supply purified air. Slowly open the valve for the purified air inlet to the unit; open the inlet valve of V506 to allow purified air to enter V506. Open the drain valve at the bottom of V506 to drain any condensate. Confirm that all liquid in V506 has been drained; then close the drain valve at the bottom of V506. Verify that the pressure of the purified air, as indicated by PG51102, is ≥0.55 MPa. Supply purified air to FI101, and also supply it to various points where it is used by the instruments. Confirm that the purified air has been introduced into the unit. 1.1 Operation at 0.65 MPa. For the N2 system, confirm that the flow of 0.65 MPa N2 into the unit is unobstructed. Check that nitrogen blind flanges on all containers are in place; close all branch valves. Ensure that the instruments are properly installed. Contact the instrumentation team to activate the instruments related to the 0.65 MPa N2 supply: FIQ50401, PI50401. Confirm that the main valves leading from the 0.65 MPa N2 pipeline to various points where N2 is used are closed. Request the dispatch team to supply N2. After opening the first valve in the area, open the vent valve to drain any condensate in the pipeline, then close it. Slowly open the second valve for N2 inlet to the unit. Open the low-point valves to purge the N2 system; then close those valves again. Confirm that 0.65 MPa N2 has been introduced into the unit. Verify that the pressure of the 0.65 MPa N2, as indicated by PI50401, is 0.7 MPa. 1.1 Operation at 3.5 MPa. For the steam system, confirm that the flow of 3.5 MPa steam into the unit is unobstructed. Open the 3.5 MPa steam system valves in V505 and the low-point drain valves to drain any water present. Confirm that there is no water left in the low-point drain valves. Ensure that the condensate drainage system is operating properly. Request the dispatch team to supply 3.5 MPa steam. Close all branch valves. Ensure that the instruments are properly installed. Contact the instrumentation team to activate the instruments related to the 3.5 MPa steam supply: FIQ50601, PT50601, TT50601. Confirm that there is steam present after draining water from outside the steam pipeline network. Confirm that 3.5 MPa steam is available before the valve leading to the unit. Slightly open the valve in the area to warm up the pipeline. Assign someone to monitor the low-point drain valves. Once steam is visible, close those valves. If water hammer occurs, stop warming the pipeline immediately, drain all liquid completely, and then start warming the pipeline again. Confirm that the pressure of the 3.5 MPa steam, as indicated by PI50601, is ≥3.5 MPa. Close the low-point drain valves and ensure that the drainage paths for the low-point traps are unobstructed. Slowly open the valve in the area fully. Confirm that 3.5 MPa steam has been introduced into the unit. After taking a general look, during the process of introducing steam and heating the pipes, we keep the drain valves open; they’re not closed as soon as steam appears. The opening degree of these valves can be reduced slightly. If there are many drain valves along the pipeline, a few of them can be closed. If you really don’t want to bother with following such operating procedures, you can search for them online
When the public system is put into operation, the valves leading to the device should be opened slowly – perhaps start by opening them 2–3 threads, allowing the system to build pressure and remove impurities from the end sections, thereby ensuring stable operation of the external pipeline network. Once pressure builds up inside the device, then the valves leading to it can be opened fully
Answering questions is not the key; what’s important is that you still haven’t understood the principles behind the system’s processes and its operating procedures. It’s an unqualified operator.
