This depends on the actual pressure of the feed gas; it can range from 1 MPa to 5.2 MPa. It is usually in the range of 1.6 to 2.4 MPa. I recall that there is a specification stipulating that when the pressure of hydrogen-containing gases exceeds 2.5 MPa, pipes and valves must be made of stainless steel, which significantly increases the investment costs. Of course, since the pressure of the feed gas is higher than this threshold pressure, it is not possible to operate at a lower pressure in order to avoid this pressure limit.
Under normal operating conditions, the pressure is typically 2.0Mpa to 2.4Mpa; for smaller units, it can be 1.5Mpa. Pressure is required mainly in hydrogen-related equipment
For pressures greater than 2.5 Mpa, the valves must be made of stainless steel; no requirements apply to the pipes.
