China National Petroleum Corporation has been granted an invention patent: “A Catalyst for Selective Hydrogenation of Alkynes and Its Preparation Method”. According to news from Securities Star dated November 13, 2025, data from the Tianyancha app shows that China National Petroleum Corporation (601857) has obtained a new invention patent. The title of the patent is “A Catalyst for Selective Hydrogenation of Alkynes and Its Preparation Method”, with the patent application number CN202210846584.9; the patent was granted on November 11, 2025. Patent abstract: The present invention provides a selective hydrogenation catalyst for alkynes and its preparation method. The carrier of this catalyst is alumina or mainly alumina ； The active components of the catalyst contain at least Pd and Ag. Based on 100% of the mass of the carrier, the content of Pd is 0.02–0.04%, and the content of Ag is 0.03–0.15% (preferably 0.05–0.15%) ； Organic cages are formed within this catalyst; the distance between these organic cages and the outer surface of the catalyst is less than 0.2 mm, and the size of the organic cages is 1.9–2.7 nm. The Pd is loaded within these organic cages. When the catalyst of the present invention is used in the selective hydrogenation process of carbon dioxide fractions, the yield of butylene can be reduced to less than half that of conventional catalysts.
