This indicates that the components in the exhaust carry elemental sulfur or possess the conditions to form elemental sulfur. First, it is necessary to strictly control such components in the exhaust gases that can oxidize hydrogen sulfide, namely sulfur dioxide, oxygen, nitrogen oxides, etc ； Secondly, robust heat tracing measures should be adopted to ensure that even if a small amount of elemental sulfur is formed, it will not condense within the pipelines (when installing these pipelines, it is possible to arrange for the condensed sulfur to gather at the lowest point of the pipeline for disposal).
It is estimated that your air-fuel ratio isn’t set properly, causing the combustion from being oxygen-deficient to becoming oxygen-rich. Also, are all the reactors in the Claus system functioning properly? Do you have a low-temperature Claus unit?
This is normal; there are three solutions: first, reduce the temperature of the sulfur recovery exhaust gases; second, improve the design of the capture devices; third, insulate the exhaust gas pipelines.
