The flue gas temperature at the inlet of the sulfur chimney used to be controlled around 300 degrees, but it is now often between 370 and 380 degrees. There is no significant change in the temperature of the exhaust furnace, which is generally kept around 600 degrees. How can this issue be resolved?
Cooling is achieved at the chimney inlet by introducing cold air (through negative pressure suction), and a valve is provided for easy adjustment.
If there is a heat recovery unit, check for internal scaling.
We are also discussing this method; it depends on the conditions on site to see if there is a location where a valve can be added
There is a steam superheater as well as a heat exchanger; there is basically no scaling on the flue gas side. Even if scaling occurs on the other side, it’s difficult to remove
Open the access panel on the heat exchanger to take a look; the area where the exhaust gases go into the chimney is prone to blockages. Is the valve from the production line to the chimney properly closed? If this valve isn’t closed properly, it can lead to the formation of a mixture of water vapor, ferrous sulfide, and various salts – a substance that’s quite hard and difficult to clean
A furnace control temperature of 600 degrees is a bit high; we usually use 500 degrees. This can be adjusted through the exhaust gas heater and steam superheater. It may also be related to the amount of exhaust gas – too much hydrogen addition
Excessive hydrogen, as well as too much air supply, causes tail burning! That is, it can’t burn at the front in time, so it burns at the back!
