I would like to ask everyone for help; we have encountered a problem in production that we have been unable to resolve. Oil is present in the sulfur-processed water (it is also found in wastewater from electrodialysis processes); after air flotation, the water quality becomes very good with low turbidity, but it has a pale yellow color. The oil content is around 80–90, which has a significant impact on subsequent biochemical processes. This oil is essentially mixed with water, so air flotation has little effect on it. In addition to the normal addition of PAC and PAM, we have also tried demulsifiers and oil-removing flocculants, but none of them were effective. I would like to ask the experts: are there any good solutions? Thank you so much! ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Resin-based degreasing can reduce the level of such soluble oils to below 5 ppm. I was wondering how much water you use per day? ? There are two types of resins available: one that enables direct enrichment without the need for regeneration, and another that is an adsorption resin requiring regeneration. Both types should be able to assist you. If it’s convenient for you, I can arrange a small-scale experiment on site to verify the effectiveness of the treatment.
What are the main components of the oil in your water, and why can it dissolve almost completely in water?
Also, the air flotation you mentioned uses a regular air flotation device, right? The traditional type with large bubbles
The air flotation I’m referring to is two-stage air flotation: vortex eddy air flotation combined with dissolved air flotation
