3.jpg As the year comes to an end, it is necessary to review the plans set at the beginning of the year and assess the work done throughout the year. It’s important to summarize one’s actions over the past year so as to build on strengths, address weaknesses, and achieve better progress in the coming year. I. In terms of job responsibilities: Over the more than 20 years since joining the company, I have never stopped learning theoretical knowledge; I have always adhered to the principle that theoretical knowledge is the foundation of all work, and I have always given top priority to theoretical learning in my technical tasks. From the initial period of trial and error in operating the plant, to now being able to skillfully navigate the DCS screens and have a clear understanding of the plant’s operation, I know that the extra time I invested was worth it. To better summarize the experience gained over time, I gradually put into practice some of the good ideas from my daily work, with the approval of my supervisors; through numerous adjustments, I identified some effective control points for operating the equipment. In daily operations, by paying attention to the key parameters related to the basic areas, it is possible to assess and address the performance of this device as well as the performance of each individual area. At the same time, I promptly put these valuable experiences into written form in the shape of papers, expressing them in a more structured manner; within one year, I published three papers as the first or second author. I think I’ll also keep summarizing things in these areas more often, to provide some reference material for myself and my colleagues! As the saying goes, “One flower in bloom does not mean spring; a garden full of flowers signifies spring.” The quality of an individual’s skills does not determine the overall performance of the equipment; only by improving the skills of everyone can the equipment operate in a safe, stable, efficient, and optimal manner. Therefore, during the training of team members, I focus on a teaching approach that emphasizes mentoring and guidance; by improving my own technical skills, I also enhance the entire team’s ability to respond to emergencies. This year, one technician and one senior worker were trained. The team also performed well in the department’s emergency drill, which indirectly demonstrates that the training provided to team members has been effective to some extent. II. Part-time instructors: Over the past few years, while carrying out my regular duties, I have actively participated in internal training activities within the company and taken on part-time training roles, thereby expanding the audience for these training sessions. I feel it is necessary to share with everyone the three aspects of work that I have undertaken over these years: 1. Development of basic question banks: In recent years, as arranged by the training center, I worked under the name of the “XX Technician Studio” to create relevant basic question banks for use across the entire company. The question bank is divided into 15 sub-banks: pressure vessels, pressure pipelines, valves, heat exchangers, heating furnaces, centrifugal pumps, tower equipment, compressors, basic chemical engineering concepts, sampling, fire protection, inspection tasks, basic knowledge of oils, maintenance work orders, and instruments. I was personally responsible for compiling the three sub-question banks for pressure vessels, pressure pipelines, and valves. After multiple rounds of verification and review, it was ultimately approved by the experts, which is also an acknowledgment of my work. 2. Training for skilled workers: As part of the company’s training programs for skilled workers, this has always been one of the key tasks of the training center. I am primarily responsible for teaching the two modules related to \"basic knowledge of petroleum refining machinery and equipment\" and \"specialized knowledge of petroleum refining machinery and equipment\". The teaching covers dozens of knowledge points related to four major fields: oil refining, chemical engineering, lubricants, and water supply. It is delivered from the perspective of the students, taking into account various aspects such as data collection, curriculum development, and course arrangement. It can be said that, based on the feedback from the students, it’s quite good. The courses are not taught from a purely theoretical perspective; instead, the content is explained from an practical application standpoint, which makes it easier for students to grasp these concepts. 3. Mobile Learning* Related: As one of the pilot units for mobile training at the headquarters, the implementation of Mobile Learning* is being carried out as a key project by the training center this year. As a participant throughout the entire project, I have deep feelings about this. Mobile learning*, as a useful supplement to conventional teaching, was well demonstrated during the implementation of the pilot projects. The trainees all reported that such a training method greatly increased their enthusiasm for learning; it only takes 5 minutes per day to learn about one knowledge point, relying on a fragmented teaching approach. More importantly, the teaching materials use the content of our company’s internal “tips,” which are highly relevant to practical needs; they originate from the front line and are designed to serve the front line. III. Shortcomings and Improvements: Although some practical work has been accomplished over the course of a year, there are still many areas that need to be improved in future work, such as team management – how to effectively motivate employees to be more involved? How to prevent employees from unintentionally violating certain rules and reduce the problem of those with bad habits ; How to avoid some rough management practices in one’s work, and so on.
