The newly built acid gas treatment unit at Shaanxi Shenmu Chemical Industry Co., Ltd. was successfully handed over, put into operation, and began producing sulfur. Author/Source: Date: 2019-01-23 Clicks: 1 On December 21, 2018, the newly built acid gas treatment unit at Shaanxi Shenmu Chemical Industry Co., Ltd., which was contracted out through EPC by our company, was successfully handed over at the intermediate stage of construction. The unit then entered the phase of joint commissioning and trial operation. Thanks to the close cooperation of all involved parties, the sulfur production furnace was successfully ignited at 20:00 on December 23. On December 30, the unit started receiving acid gas and began producing liquid sulfur successfully. The newly built acid gas treatment unit is an environmental protection facility supporting Shenmu Chemical Industry, primarily used to treat the acid gas generated by the upstream low-temperature methanol washing and shift units. The unit adopts a \"sulfur recovery and flue gas treatment process without an on-line furnace,\" and is composed of a sulfur production section, a flue gas treatment section, a solvent regeneration section, and a liquid sulfur degassing and shaping section. The construction of the new acid gas treatment unit began on March 15, 2018. Given the tight schedule and heavy workload involved in this project, all members of the project team made full use of the advantages of the EPC turnkey contract model, which involves close coordination across design, procurement, and construction phases. They strengthened communication and coordination with the client, supervisors, contractors, and other project stakeholders. By ensuring the safety and quality of the project, they worked hard to keep the schedule on track, enabling the unit to be delivered to high standards and thus providing a solid foundation for its eventual operation. Throughout the project, the project team received praise from the owner, the supervisor, and other parties involved on multiple occasions, which fully demonstrated our company’s technical capabilities in engineering general contracting as well as its project management skills. This has laid a solid foundation for our company to further expand its business in the field of general contracting.
