Reddish color of the amine solution is usually caused by degradation leading to system corrosion, as well as high levels of iron ions. Check whether the composition of the amine solution is normal, the heat-stable salt content, and analyze the anion composition, etc. Check again whether there are any parts of the system that could be exposed to oxygen, as well as the nitrogen sealing condition of the amine solution buffer tank. If your amine solution is not only for use in your own equipment, take a look at the operation of other related systems, such as nitrogen sealing.

We encountered this issue; it was caused by high levels of heat-stable salts in the amine solution, which led to corrosion throughout the system (later, a lot of pipeline and equipment were replaced during maintenance).
