This is not allowed. In acidic water, hydrogen sulfide must be recovered through stripping and sent to the sulfur recovery unit; if oily wastewater mixes into this water, it will affect the stripping process. Furthermore, acidic water is generally weakly alkaline or even moderately alkaline; when mixed with oily wastewater, it tends to emulsify, making it difficult to separate oil from water and increasing the load on subsequent water treatment processes.
