In sulfur recovery units, the tubes of the primary and secondary sulfur coolers are very dirty; what methods can be used to clean them? ? Please ask
During the major overhaul last year, I carried out jet cleaning on the tube bundles of the three sulfur coolers, and the results were excellent; however, it is necessary to protect the lining at the inlets.
It’s best to carry out manual cleaning; each pipe needs to be thoroughly cleaned, which takes time but yields excellent results
When parking, drain the water from the condenser to raise the temperature of the tube bundle; there should be no major problems then； If dirt still accumulates after opening, use high-pressure water jet cleaning.
