What are the shutdown interlock logic functions for the acidic gas burners and flue gas incinerators in sulfur recovery units? Is the signal detected by the flame detector reliable? Participate in shutdown interlock?
Currently, infrared mode is commonly used for flame detection, but it seems to suffer from a lot of interference. It was involved in the shutdown interlock during design! The shutdown interlocks for the two furnaces involve quite a few factors; they are mainly triggered by parameters related to the furnaces’ own conditions as well as by associated interlocks.
