In my memory, the first domestic sulfur production device using natural gas as raw material was in the Sichuan natural gas field in 1964. The first refinery sour gas sulfur production device was installed at the Qilu Petrochemical Shengli Refinery in 1971. Both units use the CLAUS process and have no exhaust gas treatment.
