Gentlemen: The tube bundle of the three-in-one condenser in the sulfur production unit is suffering from corrosion and blockage. How should this be resolved?
Improve equipment materials, process conditions, anti-corrosion coatings, protective measures during downtime, etc
This should have a service life; once it can no longer be used after that time, it needs to be replaced.
To observe corrosion phenomena, analyze the medium and material selection; in the case of blockages, check whether the process flows at the upstream and downstream stages are reasonable and whether the operating parameters meet the design specifications.
Consider the service life, which condenser/cooler has issues, and the air distribution situation. Do not supply excess air; it readily forms sulfite with aqueous solutions at low temperatures, corroding equipment. It also has poor catalyst activity and is prone to sulfation.
