Which standard defines which substances and in which areas eyewash stations must be installed?
It usually applies to corrosive acids and alkalis and similar chemicals, and is primarily related to occupational health requirements.
They are generally locations with corrosive solids, liquids, and gases, or locations with flammable and explosive solids, liquids, and gases. The installation location is generally within 15 meters of the hazard source (15 meters refers to the distance, not a straight line). They are generally installed at exits of escape routes and similar locations.
