The nitrogen purging of our company’s liquefied gas spherical tank has been completed; the current pressure is maintained at 0.05 Mpa. Is it necessary to increase the pressure in the tank before introducing liquefied gas? For the first feeding, is it necessary to first introduce the liquefied gas vapor into the spherical tank before introducing the liquid phase? What are the requirements when introducing vapor? Should the saturated vapor pressure at the current storage temperature be reached?
If a vapor equilibrium line is available, it is best to first pressurize the vapor side to 0.5 MPA, and then introduce the liquid phase to prevent low temperatures.
When carrying out the actual operation, it’s best to introduce some weather conditions first; otherwise, frosting will be severe from the start. When introducing meteoric air, it is best to find a way to introduce it from the bottom; the safety valve at the top should then be opened to replace the nitrogen inside the tank. In meteorology, it is sufficient for the pressure to be slightly lower than the saturated vapor pressure.
