Do current hazardous materials transport vehicles come equipped with built-in fire shields?

Everyone, our company has a Volvo vehicle for transporting hazardous materials arriving today. The driver said that the vehicle’s exhaust pipe already comes equipped with a fire shield, so there’s no need to install another one on top of it. Is this really the case? I wonder if anyone among you is familiar with this aspect? Assuming such a thing really exists, then when the vehicle is moving at high speed on the road, with a fire shield constantly blocking the exhaust outlet, wouldn’t that affect the engine’s efficiency?
Ours are all temporary, to be put on when entering the factory and taken off when leaving.
The exhaust pipes of the tank trucks we use are all equipped with flame arresters, and we require that these flame arresters be in place before the trucks enter the factory. On the way to the factory, if the driver feels the vehicle lacks power, they can open the air valve.
It should be included as standard, and fire trucks also have it built in.
