I plan to start up the plant in its original configuration. For purging the pipeline equipment, I intend to use steam. As for the pipelines that connect to the tower, should I disconnect the connections between the pipelines and the tower, or should the steam be directly introduced into the tower? It’s my first time carrying out such operations, so I’m not very familiar with this process. Please share your insights; thanks, extra points appreciated

I’m not sure which category your system falls into; it is recommended to use dry air for purging. Blow in sections; there should be blind flanges inside the equipment as well as in the containers that contain fillers, to prevent dirty substances from being blown into the equipment. First, purge the steam line separately; steam is injected into the tower to purge and vent through various pipelines. For towers that cannot withstand pressure, the connection must be made at the equipment flange; purging is just one aspect of the process, as water washing is also required thereafter. I’d like to ask quietly: when the installation was first put into operation, wasn’t the equipment tested for hydraulic pressure? After testing the water pressure, rinse the distillation outlet directly to avoid extra hassle
You can use a tower as the air source (first remove the water), purge each distillation line (if there are check valves, direct the flow in that direction, or add cross-connections during design), and evacuate before and after the control valve as well as at the pump inlet and outlet
