For Class B C (base oil) storage tanks, we are now welding a flat steel bar from the tank bottom plate into the ground as a lightning protection measure. In accordance with clause 4.1.2 of GB15599-2009, disconnecting clips should be installed for the down conductors at a height of 0.3 to 1.5 meters above the ground. Since it is appropriate, then it can be adopted or not. The GB50650 standard does not specify any requirements for disconnect cards. Several times, experts from various fields came and clearly recommended using a disconnect card. Is it really necessary to use such a card?
“In the regulations, “appropriate” implies that action must be taken under certain conditions; if the conditions are not met, a plan for implementation should still be formulated, otherwise responsibility will be held in case problems arise as a result.
