Summary of Work in the Workshop for 2017: The year 2017 is coming to an end, and it can be said that the work done this year was successful. First and foremost, I would like to thank the company’s leadership for their proper guidance, as well as all the departments and colleagues for their strong support and assistance throughout the year. Looking back on the work of this year, there have been achievements and gains, as well as mistakes and shortcomings. Based on the work carried out throughout 2017, the summary of the year’s performance is as follows: I. Completion of work tasks: In 2017, a production volume of over 12,000 tons was achieved, thus fulfilling the production targets set by the company at the beginning of the year; this represents an increase of nearly 50% compared to 2016. Among them, the output of ZD esters exceeded 7,500 tons, representing a year-on-year increase of nearly 50% ; The output of YD ester exceeded 4,200 tons, representing a year-on-year increase of around 30% ; More than 290 tons of YX ester were produced, representing a 120% year-on-year increase ; Over 80 tons of DM ester were produced. II. Specific tasks in the production workshop: Throughout the year, the safety and environmental protection situation in the entire region remained very severe. While working closely with other departments, the production workshop ensured that all production units operated stably under the guidance of Engineer Peng, allowing ZD ester, YD ester, and YX ester to maintain high production efficiency ; JY ester and HJ ester achieved mass production in the first half of the year, while DM ester began regular production in the second half of the year ; To reduce steam or power losses and improve production efficiency, we replaced some carbon steel heat exchangers to enhance the heat exchange efficiency within the system ; A new air compressor was also installed to reduce the power consumption of the equipment and save energy ; The cooling pipeline of the reactor in the first-phase unit was modified, reducing the time required to cool the reactor from 8–9 hours to 2 hours. To ensure that the production facility passes environmental compliance inspections, a series of new devices such as exhaust gas absorption towers, exhaust gas condensers, and buffer tanks have been installed to guarantee successful environmental testing ; The laboratory was set up, additional experimental equipment was added, and pilot tests for some new products (ZDZ ester, SDAY ester, YB ester) were carried out, resulting in the successful production of samples. III. Issues and shortcomings in work: The overall work in the production workshop was carried out fairly well, but there were still some shortcomings. In System 5 of the second-phase installation, polymerization of certain materials occurred in the azeotrope pipelines and the reaction reflux tank of that system; mixing occurred in the YX ester in System 3, and accidents such as the falling of material drums in the warehouse led to the scattering of materials, resulting in certain losses of materials. Afterward, we took corrective actions based on the current situation, established corresponding rules and regulations, and implemented the necessary remedial measures. Within the workshop, there are still a very small number of employees who lack enthusiasm, have insufficient learning abilities, and lack knowledge of manufacturing processes as well as skills for on-site operations, which results in difficulties in carrying out production tasks among different teams ; New employees lack sufficient training, and their work skills need further development. There is a lack of testing and analysis capabilities; employees do not have sufficient knowledge of analytical instruments, and the vacancies resulting from the departure of experienced staff require further training. Strengthen the maintenance workforce, improve maintenance standards, increase routine equipment maintenance, and prevent workshop staff from being overly involved in maintenance and cleaning tasks as part of their daily work. IV. Personal work situation: For me personally, 2017 was a more challenging year; the work goals set for the whole year were largely achieved, and my knowledge of manufacturing processes improved slightly ; It’s quite fortunate to be able to complete the main tasks in the workshop fairly smoothly. However, in order to meet production targets, there has indeed been some laxity in workshop management, with a lack of stricter oversight; as a result, numerous gaps and mistakes have arisen in workshop operations, and work efficiency still needs further improvement. This year, I was fortunate to participate in the Shanghai International Exhibition. Through this exhibition, I gained a better understanding of the market positioning of our company’s products as well as the conditions in the downstream markets. I also learned about some new products that we could develop. It seems that we need to work harder to improve the quality and output of our products, as well as to develop and produce new products in order to enhance our competitiveness in the market. In short, in the new year, we need to be more diligent in our work, learn more*, and when learning, we must also combine it with practice in order to continue improving ourselves in all aspects. When handling workshop tasks, it is essential to prioritize safety and environmental protection, ensure stability and development, continuously improve work quality, raise standards for one’s own work, clarify job responsibilities, and quantify work tasks, so as to take the work in the new year to a higher level.
