【Learning from Others’ Experiences】Jilin Petrochemical Successfully Performed Its First Independent Maintenance of an Imported Large-scale Unit

On March 10, reporters learned from Jilin Petrochemical that the chiller compressor unit of the company’s third acrylonitrile plant has been operating steadily after maintenance, achieving the best operational performance ever recorded. This marks the first successful case of the company carrying out independent repairs on large imported units. 　　This chiller is a key refrigeration unit for the operation of the third acrylonitrile plant, and its performance directly affects whether the plant can operate properly. The core unit of the ice machine is imported from the United States; it is compact in size, highly precise, and has complex parameters. In the past, maintenance was carried out by professionals dispatched by the manufacturer, resulting in relatively high service costs. After years of exploration, research, and technical accumulation, the company decided to carry out the maintenance work on its own ice machine units. 　　Starting from aspects such as construction organization, process coordination, equipment provision, and technical support, the company formed a professional maintenance team led by Gao Yanfeng, a national model worker. Three work teams comprising nearly 30 people were assigned to work together to ensure the smooth progress of the maintenance work. 　　After more than 20 adjustments to the maintenance data, the equipment was finally able to start up successfully on the first attempt, providing reliable support for the high-quality operation of the production unit.
