Friends, the owner has two methanol tanks with dome nitrogen sealing. To address this safety issue, it is necessary to install a new methanol water seal tank. According to the owner’s plan, brine will first be flushed into the water seal tank, and then the exhaust valve of the methanol tank will be connected to this water seal tank. Once the methanol concentration in the water-sealed tank reaches a certain level, the pump is started to send it to the methanol-water separation tower. How should this type of water-sealed tank be designed? Are there any schematic diagrams that can be used as a reference?
If it’s already nitrogen-sealed at the dome, why use a water seal tank? If it’s a floating roof nitrogen seal, it’s already very safe!
