Filter clogged

This post was last edited by Catalyzing a Grain on 2018-5-11 at 22:53. When used oil is poured into crude oil tanks for reprocessing, the filters often get clogged within a few minutes. Is there any good solution to this problem?

1. Is the filter screen too dense?； 2. Find the cause of the dirty oil ； 3. Add an additional spare filter and use them alternately ； 4. Otherwise, use a filter with backwashing ； 5. Additionally, could the blockage be caused by low oil temperature? Try heating it up.
Reduce the mesh size of the filter screen, and use one as active while keeping another as a spare.
1. Is dirty oil (petroleum) too dirty, with too many various impurities? If it is too dirty, it is recommended to perform initial rough filtration on-site at the time of collection. 2. The dirty oil that has undergone initial coarse filtration should be heated before entering the pipeline system; after that, it goes through secondary fine filtration and is sent to large tanks where it waits to be refined within the plant’s system.
Choose a basket filter of an appropriate size; if there is enough space, it is advisable to have one extra. The bottom of the oil tank is very dirty; it needs to be cleaned promptly
Multi-stage filtration is used, with a coarse filter followed by a fine filter.
