Not recommended. If set in this way, it will cause instability at the pump suction inlet; therefore, it is not good for the pump if long-term operation is required. Of course, if it’s only temporary, the problem isn’t obvious.

From a safety perspective, tank trucks represent mobile sources of danger; one truck is one thing, but when multiple trucks are connected together the risk increases significantly – Jinyu Petrochemical is the best example of this. For materials at atmospheric pressure that are required in large quantities, it is recommended to install a sump; the tank trucks can unload the material, which then flows by gravity into the sump (refer to the methanol unloading crane at Shenhua Yulin Company as an example).
