How do manufacturing plants implement TPM management? For a factory to implement TPM management, certain essential conditions must be in place. In addition to the competence of the employees, it is also necessary for management to attach great importance to this approach and to cooperate with one another. By continuously improving the organizational structure and management systems related to TPM management, it becomes possible to implement TPM management more effectively. To advance TPM management, it is necessary to develop appropriate plans, foster a strong sense of \"thoroughness in all aspects,\" establish an organizational structure for implementing TPM management, define the responsibilities and authorities of the TPM management team, create various standards for maintenance activities, and provide the necessary professional training. I. Selection of TPM management demonstration sites: ① The scope of TPM management demonstration sites should not be too large, in order to allow focused attention and prompt learning from experience ； ②The TPM management pilot should be carried out in phases, step by step, without seeking quick results. II. Current status of TPM management model sites: For example, although equipment maintenance and repair are essential in a certain factory, there are still many systemic flaws and challenges. In automobile chassis production workshops, where a large proportion of workers are young, there are significant differences in terms of management methods and maintenance practices. Some young workers lack technical competence, have a weak sense of responsibility, and are not familiar with the characteristics of machinery and equipment nor possess the knowledge needed for their operation and maintenance; as a result, they fail to use such equipment in accordance with safety procedures and end up working carelessly and recklessly. During the inspections, it was found that some workers did not even understand basic concepts such as the lubrication and maintenance of machinery, as well as safety operating procedures; they simply worked without taking care to maintain the equipment ； Some people don’t even know how many oil inlets there are on the CNC lathes they use; by failing to check the oil level indicators over time, it leads to equipment damage, burns, and an endless stream of mechanical failures. Before the demonstration site, this production workshop had experienced over a dozen machine and equipment safety incidents over the years. At the level of equipment maintenance management, there are no standards for the work of electric milling machine maintenance technicians, no evaluations are conducted for their performance, and the responsibilities are unclear over the long term. III. The role of the TPM management pilot process: 1. Conducting cultural education for all employees – Starting from the detailed conditions in the production workshops of the pilot sites, training sessions were held in stages. Initially, technical experts were trained first; special lectures on the pilot sites were given to workshop supervisors and electrical maintenance staff. Relevant personnel from the equipment department provided a detailed explanation of the origins and development trends of TPM management methods, and compared them with China’s current maintenance standards, emphasizing the necessity and importance of establishing these pilot sites. Then, a exchange meeting for all production workshops was held, along with a mobilization meeting for the demonstration sites, during which specific measures and regulations were clearly outlined. This, in turn, ensures that every employee in the entire production workshop attaches great importance to it mentally, is well-prepared to tackle challenges, and acts with clarity. 2. Determine the tasks involved in TPM management and the maintenance system: ① Evaluate machinery and equipment based on criteria related to production, quality, maintenance costs, safety, and other aspects, in order to identify critical equipment and regular equipment ； ②Regular maintenance is carried out on all key production line equipment in the demonstration site’s workshops, and regular maintenance is also applied to the most critical machines among them. Record the inspection results as a basis for planned repairs ； ③Problems identified during routine maintenance and periodic upkeep should be repaired according to the following categories: simple problems are to be resolved by the operating staff ； Usually, difficult problems are solved by maintenance electric milling workers ； For more complex problems, maintenance staff carry out systematic repairs or improvements on the new items ；
