After pumping the liquid into the tank area using the dock pump and closing the feed valve, how can pressure buildup in the pipes be prevented?
It’s about maintaining a certain pressure and, after one cycle, checking for deformation and leakage in the pipeline. At this time, the pressure is generally the test pressure. Monitoring should be carried out daily, and immediate action should be taken when the pressure in the pipelines rises, to prevent the valves at both ends of the shorter pipeline sections from being closed, thereby ensuring continuity between the station and the tank area and avoiding pressure buildup. Pressure relief lines within the station should be activated when temperatures rise rapidly.
There are three approaches: one, releasing pressure to the flare line through the pipeline safety valve (the least desirable option). II. Release pressure from the storage tank through the terminal gas-liquid connection valve (this will result in liquid appearing in the gas line). III. Open the empty tank or tank at a low level and relieve pressure through the valve.
What I wrote above refers to the operations after unloading is complete.
A safety valve is connected between the liquid-phase pipe and the gas-phase pipe at the dock; when the pressure in the liquid-phase pipe increases, the safety valve activates and allows fluid to flow into the gas-phase pipe
Add a check valve branch at the valve in the tank area; generally, a 20-inch pipeline is sufficient to meet the pressure expansion requirements.

A pressure relief valve is installed at the base of the tank to release pressure into it.
