What are the regulations for separating pedestrians from vehicles at the import and export areas of petrochemical plants?

Code for Layout of Petrochemical Plants GB50984 – Design Code 4.9.4 The location and number of entrances and exits to the plant area shall meet the following requirements: 1 There shall be no fewer than 2 entrances and exits to the plant area； 2. The entrances and exits for people and goods should be separated ； 3 The main entrances and exits for pedestrian traffic should be located on the side of the factory’s main road that leads to residential areas and towns ； The main cargo entrances and exits should be located near warehouses and storage areas with heavy traffic; their orientation should be in line with the direction of the main cargo flow, and they should provide easy access to external transportation routes ； 4 Guard rooms should be installed at the main entrances and exits ； 5. The entrances and exits of liquefied hydrocarbon and flammable liquid vehicle loading/unloading stations should be provided separately ； 6 Railway entrances and exits should have good visibility, and must not be used as other entrances or exits.

I’m not sure about the standards, but at entrances for pedestrian or freight traffic, pedestrian paths and vehicle lanes are separated – it seems like a logical measure for greater safety.
