As the title suggests, what materials should be used for insulation in factories located in explosion-hazardous areas (including the roofs), and what are the requirements? For example, could flammable materials such as polyurethane be used? Are there any standards or documents that impose such requirements? Please, experts, discuss this.
In areas with explosion hazards, insulating materials must not be flammable materials such as polyurethane or polystyrene boards, or PVC foam boards; instead, flame-retardant materials like rock wool, glass wool, and perlite should be used.
General buildings need to take into account basic fire resistance ratings, and this should also be considered in areas at risk of fire and explosion. Check the provisions of GB 50160
