My understanding: The operating load rate of a chemical plant refers to the ratio of the plant’s actual operating load to its design load. But there is one issue: when calculating the monthly average load, for example, if a month has 31 days and production is halted for 2 days, is the monthly average load rate = (total monthly output/31) / designed daily output? Or (total monthly production / (31-2)) / designed daily production? **Are there any similar regulatory documents?
When calculated on an hourly basis, it matches up – the output per hour and the designed output per hour are determined, and then the annual production volume is estimated based on that. In this way, it’s possible to know how much can be produced in a year. The design is also done based on the annual production volume, while the final process calculations are carried out on an hourly basis. So during the days when production is halted, it’s not possible to calculate an average output; there is no output at all. Calculating an average would mean that no reduction in load has actually taken place. For example, imagine a group of people drinking together. There are supposed to be ten people, but only eight show up. Your tolerance for alcohol is one jin, while some others can handle more than one jin or even less than half a jin. If you drink eight jin, and you calculate based on the assumption that there are ten people, it seems like you’ve drunk one jin – as if you’re still at 100% capacity. But in reality, your alcohol tolerance capacity has already been reached; this example wasn’t chosen appropriately, just to illustrate the point.
