For dry chlorine and liquid chlorine, bellows-type stop valves must be used to ensure zero leakage from the outside world; otherwise, chlorine leaks can lead to accidents. The material selected is low-temperature alloy steel; the bellows for the internal components are made of Hastelloy, with a hard-seal cut-off mechanism. Valves with angular stroke cannot be used, as friction exists between the valve core and the seat in such valves, and zero leakage cannot be achieved over time. Furthermore, angle seat valves cannot use bellows; they can only be sealed with packing, and thus cannot be truly isolated from the outside environment.
