In accordance with the requirements of GB31571, the gas recovery system for methanol storage tanks is required to keep the methanol concentration in the emitted gases below 50 mg/m3. Is it also necessary to meet the requirement that the removal rate of non-methane hydrocarbons be greater than 95% (97%)? Is there an authoritative explanation?
After treatment of the exhaust gas from the methanol storage tank, the methanol concentration is less than 50 mg/m3; doesn’t that mean the methanol removal rate is greater than 99.9%? It is no longer meaningful to discuss the requirement of a removal rate of 95% (97%).
As long as VOCs are below 50 ppm, there is no need to consider the removal rate.
