Recently, the intelligent change management system of Sinopec Shanghai was put into operation, making the company the first in Sinopec to implement such a system and providing a replicable model for the digital transformation of the petrochemical industry.   A change refers to adjustments made to production processes, equipment, and manufacturing techniques, while change management involves systematic control over the entire process of making changes. Its purpose is to identify and reduce the safety, environmental, or quality risks that changes may pose, and it is crucial for ensuring safe production and operational efficiency in a company.   In 2022, Sinopec Shanghai Petrochemical established a dedicated task force to adopt international best practices in management and develop an intelligent change management system centered on intelligence, standardization, and collaboration. Through standardized processes and intelligent tools, this system ensures that each change undergoes a comprehensive risk assessment before implementation, and control measures are established in advance. This creates a management cycle of \"identification, assessment, control, and closure,\" facilitating coordinated work among various departments with clear responsibilities. As a result, change management becomes predictable, controllable, and traceable, thereby effectively improving its efficiency.
