News on August 16: Another success was achieved by the Third Chemical Department of Fujian Gulei Petrochemical Co., Ltd.: The second production line for thermoplastic elastomers (SBS) has been operating at high capacity steadily for 76 days, setting a new record for the longest continuous operation time of a single line since the plant began operations. This achievement indicates an improvement in the level of operational management at the plant, and it provides a strong boost to the company’s efforts to improve quality and efficiency. Recently, the second production line of the SBS plant underwent a planned shutdown for maintenance that lasted 1.5 days. This maintenance campaign focuses on eliminating 5 potential leak points in the hot water pipelines, and includes a total of 28 tasks such as preventive equipment maintenance and the replacement of wear-prone components. Safety is the lifeline; quality is a key indicator. Zhao Tianxing, the company’s president, went straight to the site where the equipment was being repaired to inspect the details of leak repairs in the pipelines. He had in-depth discussions with the on-site supervisors and workers, praising the strict isolation measures taken to address leaks in the hot water pipelines. He reiterated that: \"For special operations, risk control measures must be implemented in strict accordance with the company’s relevant regulations; safety is the absolute prerequisite for all work.\" ” During the leak repair process, every groove is polished and every weld is welded in strict accordance with quality control standards, to ensure that the leak repair results are reliable and long-lasting ； Anti-corrosion work is carried out in an organized manner, with priority given to addressing the corroded areas that cannot be repaired during operation, through scientific planning. At the same time, in collaboration with the mechanical equipment and power department, a comprehensive inspection was carried out on the post-treatment equipment, electrical systems, and instruments. Wearable components such as belts, filters, and springs were checked and replaced, while the valve actuators were tested for functionality and lubricated to ensure smooth and reliable operation. At present, Gulei Petrochemical is in a critical period of improving quality and efficiency. This efficient, safe, and high-quality maintenance not only eliminates potential risks and ensures proper care of the equipment, but also lays a solid foundation for achieving better and longer operational records in the next cycle.
