According to China Petroleum Network (reporter: Zhang Xu; correspondent: Su Chengcheng), on March 5, the Tarza International Energy College of China University of Petroleum (Beijing), an institution for Sino-foreign cooperative education approved by the Ministry of Education, was officially inaugurated in Beijing. This college aims to cultivate high-quality, interdisciplinary talents who can adapt to the global trends in the energy industry, drive technological innovation, and promote the green and low-carbon transformation of the energy sector. The Tarza International Energy College of China University of Petroleum (Beijing), jointly established by China University of Petroleum (Beijing) and the University of Tulsa in the United States, offers four undergraduate programs: Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Technology, Data Science and Big Data Technology, and Energy Economics. Enrollment is set to begin in 2026, with 240 students admitted each year – 60 per program – resulting in a maximum capacity of 960 students. This college is also included in the regular enrollment plans for higher education institutions. Upon enrollment, students register for both domestic and international academic credentials; the program lasts 4 years and follows a \"4+0\" training model, with all studies being completed at China University of Petroleum (Beijing). Those who complete the required credits and meet the training requirements will be awarded a bachelor’s degree certificate from China University of Petroleum (Beijing) as well as a bachelor’s degree in science conferred by the University of Tulsa in the United States.
