Sometimes, design institutes choose bottom feeding depending on the difference in elevation; our device uses bottom feeding as well, and it makes no difference whether feeding is done from the top or from the bottom. It has no impact
We also use bottom feeding here; in my opinion, the advantage might lie in the better separation achieved between bottom feeding and the heat bypass, and since the non-condensable gases enter from the bottom and overflow from the liquid phase, condensation is more thorough.
Bro Xiang is using a heat bypass; yours involves insertion from the top, but it goes deep into the liquid phase below the interface inside the tank, with the outlet located close to the bottom of the tank. This is mainly to prevent excessive static electricity, and injecting from the bottom makes things simpler.
From the perspective of the principles of thermal bypass control, the elevation of the reflux tank is higher than that of the condenser; tower pressure is used to control the liquid level in the condenser, thereby changing the heat exchange area and thus controlling the tower pressure.
