May I ask which expert knows that the tower equipment in factories can experience resonance due to Karman vortices induced by wind?
Back in the day, Tianjin Ethylene had a tower with a diameter of 800 meters; it suffered severe wind-induced vibrations, and it was visible that the vibration amplitude at the top was around 1 meter. In the end, tie rods were used to secure it.
