I don’t remember. If it’s used for gradually raising the temperature of the hydrogenation reactor before operation, that makes sense. When the processing volume is low, the material is directly sent from the hydrogenation reactor to the incinerator; without hydrogenation, it isn’t sent to the quenching unit, as this could lead to the formation of sulfurous acids.
I was wondering, won’t your emissions exceed the limits by doing this?
The shutdown of exhaust gas hydrogenation was unplanned; in an emergency, the system was first protected from pressure buildup. If the issue could not be resolved or its cause could not be identified within a short time, then the flow of acidic gases to the unit was stopped. As the shutdown approaches, there should be a shutdown plan in place to ensure that the wastewater stripping unit and the sulfur unit can be shut down simultaneously. Before shutting down the wastewater stripping process, maintain the acid gas flow to ensure normal sulfur production.
