I’m not sure what determines the water content in the distillation tower, reflux tank, and dehydration units. Here, it varies sometimes being high and sometimes low. I checked the parameters and there were no significant changes. I think it might be related to 1) the pressure in the tower, 2) the temperature after cooling, or 3) issues with the upstream process (the water washing tower), but again, the parameters remain unchanged. I’d appreciate it if everyone could help analyze this
It is related to changes in the amount of steam injected into the reaction system; it could also be due to leaks in the heat exchangers of the distillation system, or unstable flow rates of the wash water at the top of the distillation tower
The water content depends on the residence time of oil and water, as well as on the properties of the oil, such as density, polarity, and viscosity.
It is related to the moisture content of the system and the resting time of the dehydration pack; it is normal for the water amount to be unstable. Changes in the moisture content of the raw materials supplied earlier, as well as variations in the water removal process carried out earlier, can all affect the moisture content in the distillation system. Different intervals between water discharge from the dehydration pack result in different amounts of water being discharged;

By fractional distillation I mean not the catalytic kind, but simply a liquefied gas fractional distillation tower. Previously, dehydration was carried out on a daily basis, but it hasn’t been done recently; I don’t know why. I thought it was a stress issue, but that’s not the case; the other conditions remain pretty much unchanged
Is it related to changes in ambient temperature?
As the weather warms up, it shouldn’t be a problem; there are heat exchangers on the top of the tower, which allow for control, and there is no significant change in temperature after cooling (the tower pressure does decrease slightly)
