Acid sludge in the dry scrubber tower

May I ask how the acid sludge is formed in the dry absorption tower for sulfuric acid production? Every time we open the drying and absorption tower at our factory, we find a lot of acidic sludge. What’s going on? Is there some problem somewhere?
I think it is mainly formed by the accumulation of dust and other particles in the air, especially at the pipe openings where the inlet duct of the dryer tower ahead of the fan comes into contact with sulfuric acid; other substances are brought into the system by the sulfuric acid.
If a cast-iron acid separator is used, or if the top of the tower is made of carbon steel, sulfates will form, which are also an important component of acid sludge.
