The main components of the mixed gas are methyl chloride, methanol, methylal, air... Use the RadFrac module to wash and absorb the methanol and methylal in the mixed gas, while ensuring that the output of methyl chloride is as high as possible. Require: My team members and I encountered difficulties in the aspen simulation of the three water washing cycle towers in the past few days. We first used one tower to simulate and found that a lot of CH3CL (insoluble) was dissolved in the liquid phase, and methylal was rarely absorbed by water. We asked the teacher, and the teacher said that methylal was very volatile, so we chose to pressurize. Although the methylal was almost absorbed, the loss of methyl chloride was also very large. Please help to modify it. After adjusting our process conditions (temperature and pressure, etc.) to meet the requirements, we simulated the three towers together, and found that the problem remained. The adjustment of pressure and temperature always made the results lose sight of each other. So we kindly ask the experts to help modify and design a feasible ASPEN process. It is best to have a single-tower process and a three-tower process. The requirement is to "completely remove" (as much as possible) methanol and methylal, while ensuring that as much CH3Cl remains in the gas phase as possible. Below is the v9 version of my apen file. Change the file suffix to apwz to open it. I am really anxious about this process design. This step has been delayed for four or five days. I cannot proceed with the next step of simulation until it is done, so I kindly ask the boss to help me.
The gas phase of one column is pressurized and liquefied and then purified with a distillation tower.
Thank you for your reply. Do you still need to add water for washing during the distillation process?
Use the first tower to pressurize water to ensure qualified extraction of the tower, and the bottom kettle liquid of the first tower is sent to the second tower for flash evaporation to recover CH3Cl back to the first tower.
Thank you so much. I just used your first suggestion and the distillation operation can meet the requirements. I will try your method again now.
Please look at the explosion limit range and don't get into trouble.
