I’m currently working on rapid cooling of pyrolysis gas by using a water scrubber to reduce the temperature of the pyrolysis gas from 530°C to 300°C. Simulating this process with a distillation column doesn’t work, and Flash3 also isn’t suitable for this purpose; in Flash3, the water produced at 300°C is already vaporized. If a normal temperature is chosen, the temperature of the pyrolysis gas drops too low :( I would be extremely grateful if experts could provide some guidance.

If it is water-cooled, then the water vaporizes and moves along with the stream; it is cooled, liquefied, and separated, followed by deep cryogenic separation of the pyrolysis gas. What is washed with a water wash tower? If there are solids present, a solid module must be used to address that issue; otherwise, a mixed-cooling heat exchanger module will suffice.
