When using SW6 to calculate the structure of a desulfurization tower, since it is considered a tower-type equipment without a skirt base, how should it be entered? And there’s no end cap either? SW6 can be used for the calculations; enter the parameters of the lower head, but it is not necessary to calculate the lower head itself. The mechanical models are basically the same.

This structure can be approximated as a tower with a self-supporting skirt, where the skirt and the head are connected by butt welding, and SW6 can be used for approximate calculations. During calculation, based on the actual structure of the lower part of the tower, a skirt base with a height of 1 meter or another specified dimension can be assumed; if there is a lower head, the data input is the same as that for calculating chemical towers. If the calculation verification is successful, the requirements are met.
